Tony RW U20 Reach Their First-Ever FERWAFA U20 Elite Premier League Final

Tony RW U20 have made history, securing a place in the FERWAFA U20 Elite Premier League Final after defeating Gasogi United U20 on aggregate in a thrilling two-legged semi-final.

The first leg, played at home on 4 July 2026, ended in an exciting 3–3 draw. Daniel Mugunga, Dushime Jean Claude, and Nyatanyi Yvan were all on the scoresheet for Tony RW U20, leaving everything to play for in the return leg.

The decisive second leg took place on 7 July 2026 in Bugesera. Tony RW U20 made a bright start and took the lead in the 34th minute when Tuyizere Fabrice calmly finished after a well-worked assist from captain Sheja Djibril. Gasogi United U20 responded shortly after, finding an equaliser to level the match — but Tony RW U20 remained composed and kept pushing for the winner.

The breakthrough came in the 74th minute. Mugisha Huzayfa delivered an excellent free-kick into the danger area, where Ndizeye Isaac found the decisive finish to send Tony RW U20 into the club's first-ever final.

This achievement marks another major milestone for the academy. In their debut season in the competition, Tony RW U20 were eliminated in the group stage. Just one season later, this young side has written a new chapter in the club's history.
